Hear the flutter of Wings

Should-da Know-ed

Thoughts and Ideas....I'll throw a fishin' line out into the "Gray Goo-eee Matter" located somewhere in that "Bone-eee Brain House" that sits on the end of the "Broom Stick" that someone shoved up my backside on a whim so, I can try to drag one of those "fish-eee thing-eees' back out. After that I gets to toss it into this chere fryin' pan. That is, of course, if I don't swipe a "fish-eee thing-eee" out of someone-elses "fish-eee bucket" to which I'll give full credit to the someone-else that I swiped his/her "fish-eee thing-eee" out of thier "fish-eee bucket" and then toss it into this chere fryin' pan.

Language and Spellin'....I'll try to keep most of the "Gutter Talk" from gettin' into each post. Yaw'll notice that I did say "TRY". As for the other, IF I can find it in Webster's...IF NOT, get Yaw'll's "cryin' towel" ready cause Yaw'll might need it.

Laughter...Doin' my best to discover how to put it into words which is a lot harder than I thought it would be but, somewhere along the line I sure am a-hopin' that I succeed in puttin' a smile onto Yaw'll's faces.

Politics....Now that Can and Does get very opinionated and quite Heated around these parts. So, the "Gutter Talk" may rear its ugly head more than once. If, Yaw'll don't want to see it at those times then cover Yaw'll's eyes cause I don't provide "Eye Wash". Times are tuff--don't Yaw'll know.

Religion....I've got mine .. so my opinion is mine. Yaw'll got yours .. so Yaw'll's opinion is Yaw'lls. I may give my opinion. Yaw'll may comment back according to Yaw'll's opinion. BUT, we won't be a-chingin' each other's opinion, now will we.

So Yaw'll come on in, sit it down and puts Yaw'll's feet up and see if Yaw'll might find somthin' that'll catch Yaw'll's intrest for awhile. Yaw'll be sure to leave me a comment so I'll know how my "fish-eee thing-eees" are a-cookin' in this chere fryin' pan.

I hears ya, .. I HEARS YA. Damn, my bird sa squawkin', and I needs my cup of Hot Tea with it "little ole splash" of Bourbon to help take the chill off.

So .. Yaw'll come on back and see what I pulled out of my "fish-eee bucket" .... Yaw'll hear.

aka .. Me.

I WAS READING

It mind boggling!

I go into my bedroom, leaving the door open and the lights are on. I have pillows stacked about a foot from the head of the bed so when I go belly down my chest is lying across them and my arm pits are just pass the pillows.

Got the picture so far.

Now, one of 4 things will be will be in front of my face during this time of relaxation...

1. A book that I am finding to be of great interest.

2. My tablet hooked up to WiFi and being used to cruise the "cloud" in order to catch up on what the few blogs I follow are saying or whatever I am finding that's interesting.

3. I have several games on the tablet and c-phone that I've been known to indulge in when I'm bored.

4. My c-phone because I'm texting or doing a "reach out and touch" someone.

Now, when "Best Bud" next sees me in the kitchen getting something to drink (or stuff my face with) the first words out of his mouth is "Damn, I thought you were sleeping!".

I guess I just don't make enough noise when I'm reading, c-phone.." Roat", texting or playing games.

Welp, I dug out one of my "thinking" CD's and set it up to play on my radio/player. I hope that will be enough noise for him so he won't think I'm sleeping.

Damn. Just damn. Now I got more noise than I wanted in my quiet time. Guess I can't win for losing.

O-kay. That's enough of that so I'll see y'all on the flip side. ( I'm smiling now. Really! I AM.)

TA-DA}

Welp.

As you can tell I've started to post on my blog again. Its not something that I had planned on doing anytime soon but...I guess I've been bored long enough. I don't know if I'll have a whole lot to say or even if it will be interesting. Any way I'll give it my best shot.

I'm working off of an Acer tablet which I still haven't learned all the ins or outs of it but I guess I will now.
My biggest problem is that there isn't a manuel for me to pick up and discover what I've been doing wrong. Guess the " Powers that be " expect you to already know what you are doing with the operating system.  All I can say is... I ain't one of them.

I've been trying to import pictures from my phone to the tablet but....    no luck yet.  I missing some steps here and the "FOG" isn't lifting and now I'm frustrated. (Stomping in circles with lots of bad words)

Guess I'll mosey  on over to amazon.com and see what they are offering in the how to books.
Wish me luck.

See you on the flip side!

WARRIOR I AM

Warrior I am
I have heard the bugle
And answered the call to duty
I raised my hand
I swore the oath
My blood for Freedom's Land

From the beginning of this Land's birth
To the ending of this Land
From the Eastern shore of the rising Sun
To the Western shore of the setting Sun
From the North cold Winds
To the South Humid Swamps
A Warrior's blood has made this Land sacred

Now many forget or refuse to acknowledge those Warriors
Many have shouted and cursed those Warriors
Others have spit and thrown refuge upon those Warriors
And still when the bugle sounds
And those same cry out for protection

THE WARRIOR ANSWERS THE CALL
FOR DUTY
FOR COMMITMENT
FOR INTEGRITY
FOR HONOR
FOR THE WARRIOR WHO STANDS NEXT TO HIM
FOR THE ONES HE LOVES
AND THIS LAND THAT LIVES BECAUSE OF HIS BLOOD

Go
Pay homage to those Warriors
And
Remember
What they  swore
My blood for Freedom's Land

Warrior I am
I heard the bugle
And answered the call to duty
I raised my hand
I swore an oath
My blood for Freedom's Land

THE NAUGHT SPOT

Here I lie upon my bed
With the ceiling hanging over my head
And there it sit my favorite spot
That I stare at all for naught
When for all the  counting of the sheep
Does nothing but keep away the sleep
The ever turning and toss
Is for nothing but loss
Of the ticking of time
For soon the clock does chime
And there hasn't been even a peep
Of one little snore of sleep

lost, lost, lost

There are times that no matter what I do it seems like I'll never find that road that my feet need to be on once again.
I stepped off that road years ago and haven't been able to get a whiff of it since.

"Love" will lead you astray from your road if you let it especially, if that "Love" has only itself in its view finder.

Tread your road carefully.

ITS DAYS LIKE THIS

Have you ever looked over your shoulder only to see that the "Handbag" that you normally find "Hell" climbing into has now attached itself to the bumper of the car following you?

I think that's when I wonder if I should start running for the hills or just say the hell with it and brace for impact.

I believe I'll have that jigger of Bourbon now.
THANK YOU.

Hey Stupid.... it's edible

Hi Everybody.

Just got done reading an article on where there are Goldfish up to 1-1/2 feet or more and some estimate up to 5 pounds (or more) in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Goldfish are a member of the Carp family.

Many think the Carp is a "trash fish".

But, there are those who are finding the lowly Carp to be very delicious with a light and delicate taste.

After looking up how to cook Carp, I discovered that the way you take care of the Carp after you catch it greatly improves its flavor.

It is also suggested that you fillet the Carp but, like some fish keep on the look out for bones.

So everybody it's time to head for Lake Tahoe and do our best to catch some of those over-grown aquarium and/or back-yard pond fish.

Wonder how well they will taste after being smoked on the "bar-bee"?

Talk at yall later.

A GIFT.... & Thank you doesn't seem to be enough

A gift......

Why is it that a simple Thank You never seems to be enough when someone is not only nice but very generous to you?

Why is it when you try to tell that person Thank You, you can hardly get it past that lump that suddenly appeared in your throat?

TODAY was that day for me.

My "BEST-BUD" got and gave to me a brand new Acer Android Tablet as a belated/early Happy Birthday present.
It is already set-up so I can use my Android Smart phone (that already has the app) as a Wi-fi hot spot. I learned
something new about my phone that I hadn't known before and it will save me some money for internet service for my new Tablet.

How do you tell this person just how much it truly means to have recieved such a wonderful gift when the words just don't seem to be there on the tip of your tongue.

I have spent from around 2:30p runing-a-ring around in all the corners of my grey goop and still the words can't be found.

I keep saying Thank You but it REALLY IS NOT ENOUGH.

a Ve ry, Very Humble.....

ps ... I'm writting this between 2345 & 0130 because if he look over my shoulder and read what I was writting he would want me to delete it fore he has a problem about people knowning what a truly nice person he is.
Yes. I do know that I was blessed when he stumbled into my life and I made him my "BEST-BUD" and have managed to keep him in my life for the 20+ years.

GUNS BUT NO AMMO

Yesterday, I went with my "Best-Bud" to Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna, Ga., to get some items for our time in the outdoors.
The thing that I noticed was that there was no ammo to speak of on their shelves.
There was cases of NATO authorized rounds But when it comes to .22, .25, .32, .38,  .45, or 9mm ---empty.
There were some shot gun ammo but not that much.
I have heard that the ammo companies aren't filling any new orders.
I have heard that many who were buying on line have received notice that the orders would not be filled any time in the near future due to Obama's and the gun control advocates in the government desire to infringe on the 2nd Admenment.

So, I have come to the conclusion that they (the gun control advocates and the Government) will let us buy our guns so we can have the right to bear arms.....they will just make certain there won't be any ammo for the weapon.

It's a back door that may NOT be included in the meaning of the "right to bear arms".  Needs somebody smarter than me in Constantutional  law figure that one out.

Now that I brought this to your attention  you can't say you haven't been warned.

Thr Night Before

As you stand in the kitchen and look around all the while scratching your head you begin to wonder just what the "hell"  were you thinking last night.
Now, it's going to take an hour just to put things away, empty and refill dishwasher, and then to finally clean it.  And all of that has to be done before breakfast can be fixed.

What I want to know is .... "What was I thinking?"

Oh hell.
Doesn't matter.
Cause.
It's breakfast time.

Yum-yum.

Hope 2013 started off better for you.

It's so cold that the air temp by the windows are making my shins and ankles ache.  E-gods. I really hate getting old.

Oh, my cockatiel looks like a feather fluff-ball with 2 toothpicks for legs.

I don't know who is in the worse spot - me or the bird.
Time to go find a pair of knee-hi socks. The extra thick kind.

IT'S CHRISTMAS....

Hello Everyone,

Merry Christmas  and before I forget and it gets past me  HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

Here are a couple of pictures of what adorns my place for the holiday season.

This one is sitting on a table top that is 6 feet by 5-1/2 feet and only took 2 and 1/2 days to figure out just how to set it up.  Next year ought to be a lot easier especially with the picture.
Now, if I can talk BB into making me a second story ?
[ You did notice that the if was in really big letters.  I've already hinted at a second story with a road leading up to it and he looked at me as if I was either asking for the moon or a meer- i - cle.  Maybe, if I hint and do a little whinning.  Well, I will give it a good try and see if it works.]

Next year is still a looooooooooong way away.

The next one is on display on one of the three shelves of the hutch of my brand new pine buffet/hutch that goes with the rest of the pine furniture in the living/dining room.

The fire truck and candle holders are only a couple of years old.

The bucket came with a dozen home-made chocolate chip cookies that I received from one of my customers this year.  I am now using the bucket to catch my keys and sun-glasses because I keep loosing them in the house.  Thursday morning I was "bitchin" and "stomping" through the house trying to find my keys.  BB said to look in the basket in the dining room chair...someplace that I never have placed my keys before.
Damn!  It's a shame that ones memory goes before the thinking part of the mind does.

The small tin held a Ginger-bread Man.  He wasn't toooo bad either.
  Buffet Top...
Most of the Nativity scene I made when I was living in Seattle, Washington.  A few of the Angles, all of the trees and all of the snow has been added in the last year or two.

Oh the reason I have these two very nice pictures is because I gave BB his Christmas present early and he is having a blast learning how to use it.
Thank you BB.

{I keep hearing "This is neat." ..."Oh, man this is sooooo cool."  and "Thank you, I just love my Christmas present."  ...  It sure is nice to have made somebody's day.}

Welp, its time to head back to the kitchen and keep doing the prep work for a nice meal tomorrow.

I hope all of you have a great day and get much of what you like/want.

Once again ...

MERRY CHRISTMAS

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Don't  forget to say a prayer for all of our worriors who will not be able to spend the day with their family and friends.

Stick a Fork in Me ... I'm done

Did anybody{??} see where BB put my wheelbarrow??  I need it ... along with someone to push the damn thing.

Yesterday, I made myself a promise that I would not be stuffing myself to the point of finding myself unable to even push myself away from the table.   Lot of good that did me because I found myself sitting there looking at BB and stating that I needed him to roll me over to my chair in front of the Tv.
His comment was, "Who the hell is going to get me out of my chair because,  I'm no better off than you are."

++++++++++++++

REFURBISHING UPDATE !!!

++++++++++++++

Yep.
You read that right I did say "table".  The ceiling and walls have finally been finished in the painting department in the dining room.
BB also put together a set of shelves that fit in a corner by being screwed into each of the walls going into the corner.  They look like a Set of steps going nowhere that is now covered with 4 generations of family pictures and a few pieces of silver and other small items.  It really looks nice.
BB then put a shelf over the dinning room window that has scroll brackets that are screwed in to the inside of the 4 inch  window well wall.  Wow!! Can you say he got busy.
Now all I got to do is to paint the bracket..Black-Bean..this week-end.
Find the black sheers that were put somewhere in one of the closets for safe keeping and then re-hang the leather drapes.
Sometime in the next few days, Fed-Ex will be delivering to me my new buffet/hutch which is made of light pine that I ordered to replace the 2 very dark oak-like units. [These 2 never went well with the rest of the wood furniture and sucked all of the light from the room.  Can you say black hole.]  This  new buffet/hutch will go with the pine that I have in the front room.  Since these 2 rooms are on an open floor plan it helps the decoration factor by having much of the furniture working together rather than fighting each other.
Now, I just have to figure out what to do with those 2 "black holes".. er .. ah dark behemoths.

NEXT on the agenda is the front room...which means its furniture movin time so the 15 foot ceiling can be painted.

Great...and its also time for Christmas decorating.

Wonder which one will win ???

++++++++++

Now, I'll say to one and all that I truly hope that your T-Day was spent with lots of food shared with those that you loved.  But, if the ones you love couldn't be there I hope that the phone lines were smokin.

From a "well Over-stuffed" and ready for a "Turkey Nap"  Miss Em

DOB Extractor

Can you tell what I got for my birthday ?
Yep, the date on the picture is the day that Mom celebrated the coming of her newest and only baby girl at that time
So, I celebrated by giving myself a new weapon of extraction
Here, I'm trying to show B-B that I can at least put the bullets in the paper.
I really did manage to get it into the black several times and a couple of times in the red before the practice session was done.
Don't ask me how because I was as surprised as B-B was when it happened after only 1/2 box of 550 rounds.

You think that I should do more practicing?
 So do I.
Next fishing trip to the swamp.

Oh B-B agrees with me, "if the dumb-ass is stupid enough to get with in 20 ft then the dumb-ass will find out that I can make his world hurt"...

10 times before I drop out that clip and slam in another with 10 more hurts.

I'll be takin a few more pic's of the "DOB Extractor" and all of its New Additions so ya'll can see I will be doing a lot more of this type of "Banging in the Woods" in my old age than the other type of "Banging in the Woods" that was done in my younger days.

Oooops...
Now that may have been just T-M-I .
Oh well.
If you never tried it .....
well...
at least it was fun
under the sun
or by starlight.

Ya'll have a wonderful day and be sure to do things that make you happy.

Love to all
Miss Em

Yep!! I'm still verticial

To all who have been wondering if I am still kicking and giving everyone a hard time....WELP...the answer is now obvious because I am tappin away on this machine at 0700.   I should be catchin a few more zzzzz's.   Unfortunately for me, "Sleep" was not on the night's schedule.  Guess an afternoon nap will be one of the things that Will be done whether I want to or not.

To all who asked about Best Bud's job...so far so good.

This week-end Deer season open for bow hunters.  Best Bud packed his truck this morning before heading off to the job because he will be heading for the Deer lease at the end of the work day.  BB is hoping to bring back some venison for the freezer.  In fact he is hoping to get in enough venison so he will have to get a chest freezer.  [No.  I don't have one.]

This means that I've got the house to myself for 2-1/2 days.  Yeah!!  That means that I can run "Naked" though the house.  Yep.  I know.  I sound silly but it is a chance for private time and that is special when you are sharing a house and that person is of the opposite sex and NOT married to you.

Guess I'll go get ready for the day fore this 1/2 cup of coffee has gotten me wide awake and a bit jittery.  I should have a zip-a-tee type of day.......OH JUST DAMN with a bit of extra joy.

See you guys in the funny papers after I drag myself back to the key board of this blasted machine.
[lots of smiles and laughter]

Yea !!!! >> for Best Bud

Hi Everyone,

Good news !!!!!!!!

It looks like Best Bud has found a job that he likes.
He has worked around cars since he was 12*** building, repairing and restoring all types.
He seems to be a lot happier and that should help with his diabetic problem because he hasn't had the need to go out and walk around the condo bldg to try to lower the sugar level in his system.  I feel better about his new job fore each time he had to go for long walks by himself I would start to worry about him because he didn't have a walking partner especially at 3am.

He's been really worried and depressed about not working and having to just sit around the house.
If he had the extra cash {and "IF" I had any extra to spare} he would go fishing to help occupy some of that time.  There was the trout stream that he would go to {usually without me because I was at work} and walk up and down a 2 mile section of the stream which would take most of that day.  But, now with the heat he says that the water is getting to hot and a lot of those trout will be die-ing off real soon.
His efforts during this time put several packets of trout {8 each} in the freezer and we both are able to enjoy a trout supper occassionally.

We'll be heading for the pond EARLY this Sunday morning to see if the bass and catfish are hungry for some minnows, worms and maybe a few chicken livers pressed in smushed up bread and put in one of those hooks with the plastic mesh around it.  Hey, at least I trying to keep the chicken livers on the damn hook as I fling the line out to a good spot.  {And, I really do mean fling because I put my large backside into the effort so you can hear the line just sing as it rushes off of the reel.}  Usually, you don't even give the minnows and worms a second thought once they are on the hook because those don't normally go in the opposite direction of the hook.  {You did notice I did say "normally" didn't you?}
I haven't been fishing in well over a month.  I definitely need to get out in the woodsy area that the pond is located in and get my batteries recharged along with what's left of my old 'mushy grey stuff' which will turn 62 on Sunday{Happy DOB to me !!!!  Guess I'll get me a cup cake and put a Question mark on it because nobody seems to know just who or what [snicker, snicker] I am these days.  EEEE-gods !!!  I wonder sometimes how I managed to get this far in life.......?????  Sure can't be the "good livin" because I'm still trying to figure ou what the "good livin" really is in life.}  Well they do say that that 'mushy grey stuff' is the first thing to abandon you in your seemingly second childhood.
Sausages cooked over an open fire with a cup of fresh coffee for breakfast sounds really good.  Maybe I can talk BB into bringing his camp coffee pot.  Yep, the smokey flavor adds just enough zest to the brewing to make it even better.
And.
Then, maybe a nice bass on the girll for our evening meal will really hit the spot and top the day off.

Wish us luck.
AND
Yawll have a wonderful and fun filled week-end too.

Miss Em

Well Hell !!!!!!!

Again "Well Hell !!!".

Best Bud's computer got a virus.

He had Norton clean out all the cookies and other things that someone would attach a virus to so they could screw with his machine.
In the process Norton also cleaned out all the cookies that my followers had left so that they could find me without too much trouble.
My dashboard is still telling me I have 15 followers but they don't appear on my blog page like they did before he had the system cleaned of cookies and virus(es).

Don't understand any of this.

I can turn it on and tap the keys and do some very minor reasoning on how this piece of frustration works...

So  ANY body out care to explain it to me.

AND

do my followers need to push the follow button Again???????

AIN'T LIFE JUST GRAND.

It's HOT

Hi everyone,

So, here I sit in this HEAT  which maked me feel as if I am melting.

Oh well.

Just call me the "wicked witch of the South" becausing ...

If you can't laugh at this then you are worse off than me.
   [snicker, snicker]

Miss Em

Guess I'll go take the racks out of the frig and see if my broad backside can fit in there for awhile.
